Our Team
I was born and raised on a farm in Otorohanga, and have been a Chartered accountant for over 40 years.
I bring an in-depth experience and passion for getting to know my clients and take their business to the next level.
I am heavily involved in the agri-sector both "on and off farm", with farming interests in the Waikato along with advising agri clients for a number of years.
My clients value that I don't just sit behind the desk / phone, instead I get out and understand their business.
I started my professional life working for KPMG in Hamilton and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
I have experience across a broad range of sectors and industries, including working with a number of our large agri clients.
Clients and team appreciate my personal, down to earth approach, high professional standards and technical knowledge.
Born and raised in Te Awamutu, I have recently moved back up north and joined Dad at Hammond and Moir.
I bring over 11 years of both domestic and international experience recently as a Senior Manager at KPMG.
I have worked across a broad range of industries focusing on Dairy and Agri-Business, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Māori Sector, Local Government and not-for-profits.
Outside of general accounting, I have specialised skills in the following areas:
- CFO secondments and virtual CFO services;
- NZ IFRS & NZ PBE compliance, preparation of financial statements and technical accounting papers;
- Financial Statements model development / automation and streamlining;
- Finance function assessments and working with organisations to improve their efficiency and quality of financial and strategic reporting;
- Due Diligence, structuring agreements and impairment / valuation modelling;
- Providing external and internal audit services across the full spectrum, including not-for-profits, complex groups and entities listed on the NZX / ASX.
